Cannon Beach is home to some magical people for sure. One of these is pet psychic and animal communicator Lisa Fraser. As an animal communicator Lisa helps you to understand – in plain words – your animal and to receive the wisdom and love that animals – both your own and others’ – offer and communicate to us – denser – souls.

As a pet psychic, Lisa helps pet owners understand and connect with their living and passed-on pets. Lisa has the extraordinary ability not only to communicate with live and passed-on animals but also to teach us less sentient beings about how to see things from our pet’s point of view. How enlightening this is!

For more information about animal communication and how to receive the psychic wisdom and words from your pet then please visit Lisa Fraser’s website here. You neither have to be in Cannon Beach nor be present with Lisa or your animal to receive the benefits of the words and feelings that your pets wish to share with you.

The community of Cannon Beach was originally named Ecola, after the town’s Northern creek that empties into the Pacific. Ekoli is a Chinook jargon word for “whale”. Early settlers later renamed the creek “Elk Creek”, and a community with the same name formed there.

Elk Creek – the name given by the early settlers – was renamed Ecola Creek to honor William Clark’s original “Ekoli” naming. Clark had applied the name “Ekoli” to Elk Creek – or Ecola Creek – after his famous 1806 “Whale Blubber” trek which you can read about Cannon Beach here.

In 1922, the community of Ecola was renamed Cannon Beach (after the name of the 9 mile beach that extends south of Ecola creek, and ends at Arch Cape) at the insistence of the Post Office. Apparently because the name was frequently confused with Eola.
