A friend of mine took me out for lunch to Bill’s Tavern on Monday. And, what a gorgeous, sunny day it was for a cold microbrew and golden battered fish & chips! The service was polite and professional and the generous portions of golden battered cod, french fries and tartar sauce made the whole lunch at bill’s a tremendous value.

I’m a local here in Cannon Beach and when we have family in town we have two places that are a “must eat at” during their stay.

For dinner, we always visit Bill’s Tavern. They have a tavern side and a family-friendly side, we usually do the latter since we have a three-year-old. The waiters are friendly, the service is fast and the food is always perfect. I like their garden burger.

For breakfast, it is our tradition to go downtown to The Pig N Pancake for a last morning breakfast before everyone heads back home. The service is always good, the food is warm and tasty. Sometimes we have to wait a minute or two for a table, but that’s only because everyone else in Cannon Beach knows it’s a great spot to eat.
